How to Shop When Shopping For Newborn Baby Clothes

Shopping is always fun and it is even more fun when you are shopping for baby clothes.  The sweet, adorable little booties, socks, hats, and clothes can take you into a whole new world and this passion is often transformed into an obsession when you are shopping for girls clothes.  Pink, purple, lilac, they are all so pretty.  To show how fun shopping for girls clothing is, when I was shopping for my son when I was pregnant, I found myself buying little pink onesis for a friend who was also pregnant.

Shopping for baby clothes is addicting but we must learn to control our impulses.  Going overboard means spending much more money than needed and by the way, half the clothes for kids you buy now if you are pregnant, they won’t wear.  When shopping for clothes for your precious little bundle, only buy the essentials because as they grow, you will be cleaning out their draws and closets, giving half the things away before they even wear them.

Yes, it is hard but when shopping for baby clothes, buy only the essentials and if you want to over indulge, spend extra money on diapers, not newborns though; bottles, wipes, and other little essentials that they could never get enough of; things that they will never outgrow.  If you currently have a bun in the oven and want to know what to shop for, you are not alone and that is why I created a brief idea of things you must have when shopping for baby clothes.

Things you must have for your newborn babe

Socks, tops, onseis, rompers, if you are having a winter baby, mittens (these are also important in the summer because babies tend to scratch themselves); hats are a must; jackets, no more than two 0-3 months because they will outgrow them like that.  Other necessities that you must get includes, diaper cream, diapers, lots of them; oils, powders, soaps, and lotions, although it is not recommended that you use it on them until they are at least one month.

Now that you have an idea of the things needed for a newborn baby, when shopping for baby clothes, I strongly suggest that you do not go cheap.  A baby’s skin is very delicate and if you put certain fabrics on them, they will rash and chafe very easily. Stick with clothes for kids that are made from cotton and never buy clothes that have strong dyes in them.  This is because they wear easily and in one wash they will begin looking old and too worn.  The dyes in baby clothes will also irritate their delicate skin very easily as well.

If you are a savvy shopper and are shopping on a budget but would like for your baby to wear brand name clothing such as Oshkosh, Gold Rush, J Brand, and ella moss, buy their clothing one or two sizes larger.  Take this for example; my son is four months old now but he is big for his age so he is wear 6-9 months clothing, instead of buying 6-9months, I go out and get 9months or even 12 month old clothing.

Yes, I know you may be saying that these clothes are too big but trust me they aren’t.  I have a 1T shirt for my son that cannot fit him because it is too small.  What you need to do however, is be careful of the sizes that you buy because some brands size their clothes smaller than others.

Now that you have been briefed on shopping for your little ones, go out and spend some money but remember not to overdo it.

Buying Trendy Kids Clothes While On a Budget

It is no secret that most people throughout the world have been experiencing financial problems that have been brought on by the global recession.  If you find that you have been living on a budget for some time now and have been thinking to stop shopping for Trendy Kids Clothes and is considering to go the cheap route, I am telling you that you can still keep your trendy kids trendy if you know how to shop for designer kids clothing when on a budget.  It is a known fact that when you are buying clothes for growing kids that you will need to always buy them one size bigger.  When you buy kids clothing a size bigger, it will, naturally, last your child a little longer.

Think Chic, Not Cheap Next to buying your kids clothing a size or two larger, you need to think chic, instead of cheap.  This is where most parents go wrong.  We all want our kids to look the best in what they are wearing and we want them to have all the clothes in the world; however, if you are suffering from a financial crisis, you know that this is not possible and while you may have to limit the amount of clothing that your children have, you do not need to cut back on quality and you can still buy trendy Kids Clothing.  When you are shopping for toddler clothing and other kids clothing in general, you need to know how to shop and once you know how to shop, you can have your children wearing the trendiest clothes on the market.

When it comes to thinking chic instead of cheap, you need to look at the styles of the clothing.  Being a fashionable individual yourself, you know what your little one likes and you know how to make them look good. Stick to buying regular children’s clothing such as jeans, dresses, skirts, and tank tops; however, to keep your child trendy and looking at her best, ensure that you purchase a few scarves, jackets, belts, and leggings to accessorize.

Your little Miss just may need some handbags, fashion jewelry, and of course some really cute shoes to bring off their trendy look.  If you are going to keep your children in trendy kids clothes while on a budget, you will need to cut back on the amount of clothes that you buy for them instead of the quality of clothing that you make them wear.  Shopping for name brand clothing is a good way to keep your child trendy while on a budget because when you buy name brand clothes, you know that you are buying clothes made from some of the best materials and that they are also sewn with the best care.

Getting brand name clothing for your children will prevent you from buying clothing too often because they will last longer and fit your children better.  Shopping for trendy kids clothes does not have to empty your wallet and when you buy less pieces of clothing that are made from the best quality; you will be able to keep your little Miss and Mr. in style.
